Creating Keepsake Memories

Categorized: Baby Pictures, Photographs | No comments

Let’s be honest.  No parent can ever have enough photos of their children.  They are treasured keepsakes and cherished memories that become family heirlooms.  Photos are treasure for years to come; keeping those memories alive long after they have passed.  Photographs are priceless!  From that teeny, tiny newborn stage that doesn’t last very long at all, to first steps and birthday parties, cherished times with grandma and grandpa, and so on, photos can capture those memories you with to save forever.  Childhood moments are especially fleeting.  Children grow so fast and before you know it, those missing teeth in front have all grown in.  That is why this children’s photographer phoenix wants to remind you to capture those special moments and big milestones on camera!  Family members will thank you for it and love you for it later.  Though you certainly want to take photos as often as you can, here is a list of particular moments and memories of your children that you may want to be sure to have photographed.

1.  It’s never a bad thing to start with maternity photos of mom.  Kids love to see the baby bump later and mother is always glowing and beautiful!

2.  The newborn stage of life is a must.  These photos need to be captured in the first two weeks of your baby’s life if possible.  That is when they are sleepiest, smallest, and the most bendy.  Thus ensuring those sweet, sleeping baby photos.

3.  Parents sometimes document every month after this, but at least make sure you get photos of the sixth month mark.  Babies are super cute and playful at this age.  They are full of facial expressions and are so happy and willing to be placed with props for some photographs.

4.  Of course the first birthday!  One year old photographs are some of the favorites.  They really capture your little one’s budding personality.

5.  From here on out, most parents will take annual portraits of their child.  Family fall photos usually accomplish this.  That way, parents can also send out some holiday cards created from photoshop templates for photographers to send out to all of their friends and family.

No matter what, the first step is just getting out your camera.  Try to always capture those fleeting memories of your family and all of the fun you have together.
