Correct Assembly
First and foremost you are going to want to ensure that the princess bed is assembled correctly. Make sure that you are reading the directions while putting the bed together. Follow them step by step and make sure that the screws are tight. Be careful not to over tighten the screws however, as this can cause them to strip the holes and come loose.
Side Rails
Another great thing you can do to ensure that you daughter does not fall out of bed is to put side rails in place. Some of the princess beds come with built in side rails and some do not. If you have a model that does not have side rails then don’t hesitate to buy some to install. Side rails are designed to prevent someone from falling out of bed as they are sleeping. This can prevent harm resulting from falling out of bed even if pillows or padding are under the child when they fall.
Tight Fitting Bedding
Something else that you can do to ensure safety is to make sure that your daughter’s shabby chic bedding set is good and tight. If the sheets are a little bit loose then you can buy straps to hold the sheets in place that fit on underneath the mattress. You could also add an extra support pad on top of the mattress to tighten the sheets if you would rather do that.
